NASA-"Gifted" ft. Kanye, Santigold, and Lykke Li
I was really about to go to sleep but I say this and I got curious because I love Santigold and Lyke Li. Kanye's alright. lol
The song's awesome but check out the video. For some strange reason triggered by some nerve in the back of my mind, it made me want to cry. Not because it was "that beautiful" or anything. I honestly don't know what it was but it triggered never before known emotions in me. And whoever's reading this might just think I'm crazy cause why would anything in this video make me feel that way but whatever. I'm just letting it be known. If this happens to you, you know you're not the only one.
well....
GO WATCH IT!
Rihanna's New Tattoos?
This sorta matters to me for all types of reasons. We all know she's tatted up, but apparently she got more...
I call that an addiction.
Thankfully, she DIDN'T go overboard and get these. They were fake to see what it would look like. But she did get a small gun on her ribs. No picks of those. I wish.
I want a few tattoos. But THAT many? Nah...
But props Rihanna, cause I'm not doin it! shiiiiiiit....

JERKING.
What's your opinion on it?
Wanna know mine?
Here it goes...
I remember when jerking first started and it was just a little dance that the older generation referred to as "the chicken dance." That was alright. Then people started using the term "jerk" to describe anything that was cool. I once told a girl to never say the word jerk around me ever again because she used it to describe everything. Now, jerking is like a lifestyle to some, which I find a bit unfortunate, and I have my reasons.
Up until recently, I was jerkingK. I'm still annoyed by the constant presence of it, but I've grown to stop caring so much. I began losing too much breath complaining so often. I hate how all the songs coming out now on this jerk tip sound the same, and they're all about the same thing: jerking and head. I hate how the artists who produce the world with these mostly unwanted songs are ONLY making jerk songs right now. I hate how people are posting these dance videos on youtube and stuff, thinking they have a special gift because they can jerk. I hate how all the beats sound just about the same. I don't enjoy listening to the music. I may enjoy my 3 minutes a month of dancing to it, but past that I'd pass. And I hate how annoying and extra'd the kids who jerk the most tend to be. And its a well known fact that this trend will soon die.
However, I can defend the followers who participate in this fad in a few ways.
I've seen a lot of people lately who are saying that jerk songs aren't real music, and things along those lines. As a musician, one thing I've always told myself when putting down someone else's music is, 'Who are you to say that this isn't music?' The best musicians give the public what they want to hear while enjoying themselves and fulfilling their spiritual needs at the same time. To those composers who make jerk beats and rappers who write jerk songs and enjoy it for the music, props. But I also hope that jerking music isn't all you're good at because it won't be around too long. LOL.
I've also heard a lot of people (including myself until a few days ago) putting down the dance. Personally, I don't see much skill or talent going into jerking. However, I do see that these kids are having fun. To those of you who jerk because you enjoy it, props. But I also hope that that's not the only dancing you're good at if you plan on going any further with dancing, seeing as how it won't be around too much longer. LOL.
To those of you who aren't on the JERK side of life, keep doing what you do and do it well. Drown this out if you hate it so much. I know that's what I plan to work towards. To those of you who consider yourself a JERK, I hope you're being true to yourself, and I hope you didn't quit your day job. LOL. Me?
I'm on this Charlez shit.
And it's NOT jerk. It's a little more real if you ask me. But hey, who am I to say what's real?
Confidence is real. Do what makes you confident and proud of yourself. Everyday I strive to be someone I'd admire.
Props to Odd Future music lol who are sticking with what they do and enjoy and cherish. At first I thought you guys were just like the rest of these followers, but you proved me wrong. A lotta these niggas seem to be going in whatever direction the wind blows, but you guys found what fits you and stuck with it. I respect that. AWESOME!
Check me out.

its not JERK either.
Idris Coming With An Album?
Yes, he's coming with an album. Apparently, he's been producing this whole time under the radar. Now he's finally dropping his own album, where he'll be singing. There aren't many places where you can hear a sneak peek, but there's one song on his music myspace, which I must say is quite impressive for an actor-turned-musician. I'd say he's elligable to be appointed the man to protect the title that Terrence Howard killed with his album.
I'm going to get it.

Estelle Is In Need Of A Designer For Those Who Think They Can Help
Right?
WTF on that second one especially.
Seeing these pictures actually made me feel sorry for her. I think it's the expression on her face. She looks like the girl who wore the ridiculous clothing at school and got pointed at and laughed at and that was just the expression on her face all the time.....
Awwww.... Sorry Estelle. Like the music though! Well.... Some of it....

Steel Toed Slippers Tonight At The Knitting Factory
Were awesome!
Gotta say that even though I have yet to see many actual bands my age perform live gigs, this is the best band I've seen. Their diversity in musical taste gives the crowd something for everyone to rock to. It's plain to see that they have lots of fun on stage. Their musical talent is grand; no complaints against any members. It's wonderful to see such talent in people so young.
Catch them next time. It will be well worth your money.
Shoutouts to Matt!!!! (the drummer, who's amazing by the way)

Rihanna Visiting Chris?
Why?
She's definitely disappointing a lotta young females by going back to the man that beats her ass. It would be different if he hit her once or something and was like, "Oh shit, my bad. It slipped." That would still be bad but it would be a little more acceptable.
From what I hear, he went and hid out on Star Island, a vacation spot for the A-listers off the coast of Miami. He was out there having a good time, chillin with P. Diddy and jet skiing and stuff, and out pops Rihanna from the ocean to visit.
WTF?
Why would you go visit a guy that beat you up unless your purpose is to shoot him? I was surprised to see that he lived as long as he did. I figured her family would have gotten that take care of. It's been interesting to listen to the radio and not here a single Chris Brown song since the incident.
Sucks to be him, or maybe not if he's putting it down good enough for her to go back after he beat her ass.
The D must be good..... Because the world knows she can do better.
HAHAHAHA!
That's a concrete rose for ya!

A WTF Moment
I was in this program called Blastbeat, a program where different schools create a record label, get bands together, have battle of the bands and shows, and the best band from each label compete for a trip to Dublin to perform and a record deal with an Irish label. The best record label wins money, and they're judged on their efforts and successes. I was a member of one of these labels, and last night was the night we presented our labels to a panel of judges. The woman who runs the Southern California division, Tori, was the one giving out the prizes to the successful record labels. We knew going into this judging thing that we were the worst ones. But we also found out as the prizes were given out that Tori had decided which label would win coming into the ceremony, which brought about this question...
What were the judges for?
WTF
They still insisted on approaching us and telling us how much they liked our label after the ceremony.
Our band Private Wasabi rocked the show for sure, which is when Tori realized that even though she gave every other label a prize except ours, our band would probably win. That was when she started going on and on about the label that one on stage as the next band suited up.
She also picked which band one.
Private Wasabi won second place.....
Hmmm..... Sound fishy?
WTF
Everybody knew they earned first, Tori, so THERE!
There's two WTFs for that ass....
